After-school program offered for selected students in grades 1-6.

        There will be two sessions covering different material under the same topics. The first session is scheduled to begin the week of September 20th and will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45 until 3:30 up until the week of Thanksgiving break. The second session will run every Tuesday and Thursday from the same time in January, February, and April. There will be no sessions in March due to PSSA testing for 3rd through 6th grade.  There will also be an end of year project that will be presented the last day of the second session. This will need to be completed in order to receive an official certificate of completion for the program. This project can be chosen from a preselected list provided by the instructor or can be of the student’s own design with preapproval.  Bus transportation will be available on both days, or if you wish you may pick your child up.

-Science: Mixtures and Solutions
-Social Studies: History of America
-Math: Measurement and Time
-Reading: Fiction texts

The topics for the 3rd grade level this year include:
-Science: Archeology and Paleontology
-Social Studies: History of Egypt
-Math: Geometry Concepts
-Reading: Poetry

The topics for the 4th grade level this year include:
-Science: Molecules
-Social Studies: History of Greece
-Math: Math operations in past cultures
-Reading: Nonfiction texts

The topics for the 5th and 6th grade level this year include:
-Science: Environmental issues
-Social Studies: Cultures of South America
-Math: Money, Budgeting, Banking
-Reading: Web-based writing
