Student Achievement

Students manage assignments and grades
by logging in to the CSIU Student Information System.  Parents are required to do a one-time registration to gain access to all student assignments and grades on the CSIU Parent Portal.

Tornado Buddy Bag Program

The Mount Carmel Area School District continues to spearhead a fundraising campaign in an attempt to help fund the “Tornado Buddy Bag” program for the 2017-2018 school year. The program sends home bags of food, every weekend, to needy students and families.  Students qualify for free lunch and breakfast during school days, but often don’t have any or enough food for weekends.  Your generosity allows those students to have enough to eat throughout the weekend and be more prepared to be good learners every day of the week.  Find out more information and how you can help MCA students succeed.

Donations to help support the program can made made to the Mount Carmel Area Education Foundation.

 

Proposed center display of bricks at Silver Bowl South End Zone

Purchase your brick or sign today!

The Mount Carmel Area School District has begun a Red Tornado Legacy Brick Project at the MCA Silver Bowl. All proceeds will go to the general upkeep of the stadium.
All orders to guarantee your brick will be part of the inaugural Tornado Alley Project must be placed by May 1st. Project completion is scheduled to begin in early June. All future orders will be added to the project on a bi-annual basis.

The Mount Carmel Area Education Foundation is seeking donations to help restore operation to the planetarium to support science classes. Please consider making a small donation on our Foundation Page or you can mail checks or money orders to Mount Carmel Area School District, 600 West Fifth St. Mount Carmel, Pa. 17851 in the superintendent’s office. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Donations of
$50 or more can receive a complementary demonstration in the planetarium by calling the television studio in the summer months once our goal of $5000 is met.

Think BIG Upcoming Events

– MCA ThinkBIG student leaders and committee members will be selling lottery calendars throughout the month of  August. Cost is $5.00 and calendars are for each day during the month of September. Cash prizes will be given to winners which is based off of the PA evening lottery. If interested, please see any committee member or student leader.
– MCA ThinkBIG student leader and committee members will host an Elementary school dance on Saturday, October 6th from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Elementarty school cafeteria. Cost is $3.00 and dress is casual. A DJ will be in attendance to provide entertainment and light refreshments will be for sale.
– Save The Date – The 6th Annual MCA ThinkBIG Dance Marathon will be held on Saturday, October 20th from 9:00AM-9:00PM in the HS/Elementary school gymnasiums. More information to come regarding cost and schedule of events.
