Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Back to School Health & Safety Plan

Mount Carmel Area School District – Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan: Effective July 15, 2021

CDC(Center for Disease Control & Prevention) Guidance

Universal and correct wearing of masks;

Modifying facilities to allow for physical distancing (e.g., use of cohorts/podding);

Handwashing and respiratory etiquette;

Cleaning and maintaining healthy facilities, including improving ventilation;

Contact tracing in combination with isolation and quarantine, in collaboration with State and local health departments;

Diagnostic and screening testing;

Efforts to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to school communities;

Please refer to these guidelines on a daily basis to determine whether your child should attend school or stay home sick.

The Mount Carmel Area School District will immediately communicate with families, students, teachers, and staff members if they could be possibly considered a close contact related to any COVID-19 positive incident.  As always, our school district will continue to work with our nursing department and the Pennsylvania Department of Health to provide the most up-to-date information as possible.

Tornado Buddy Bag Program

The Mount Carmel Area School District continues to spearhead a fundraising campaign in an attempt to help fund the “Tornado Buddy Bag” program for the 2020-2021 school year. Find out more information and how you can help MCA students succeed.

The Mount Carmel Area School District has begun a Red Tornado Legacy Brick Project at the MCA Silver Bowl. All proceeds will go to the general upkeep of the stadium. Next Tornado Alley Brick order will be made May 1, 2022.

Silver Bowl Turf Project

In the spring of 2019, Mount Carmel Area School District launched an unprecedented three-year fundraising initiative — to raise $ 1 million to restore and update Mount Carmel Area’s famed Silver Bowl Stadium. The main fundraising effort will go towards the installation of a new all-weather field.
