MCA School Closure Resources

Daily Updates

MCASD will remain closed through April 6. Faculty and all staff will report on April 7 & 8 to prepare for the students’ return. We will then be closed Thursday, April 9, Friday April 10, and Monday April 13 for Easter break as originally planned in our school calendar. Students will return on Tuesday, April 14, unless the closure is extended.

Our administration, faculty, and staff have been meeting virtually over the course of the last few weeks, and we are continuing with plans to provide continuity of education for all of our students. Mount Carmel Area faculty, aides, and support staff will continue to provide Review and Enrichment activities during the closure, and teachers and aides will be available to work with students and answer questions online, via email, and on the phone whenever possible. Please check the District’s website and individual teachers’ sites for updated information. If anyone does not have access to online resources, paper copies can be made available for you – just contact your Principal, the Special Education Department, or call the school at 570-339-1500 and follow the prompts.
