‘Jazz’ Diminick T-Shirts
The foundation is seeking sponsors for t-shirt giveaways at each Mount Carmel Area home football game. Cheerleaders will throw the shirts randomly to the crowd. Sponsors will be acknowledged live at the game by the P.A. announcer and on the WKMCTV rebroadcast of the game and Wednesday nights. Mr. Diminick was such a positive influence in our schools for decades and a legendary high school coach. Help keep his memory alive and the foundation will donate the funds to MCASD school initiatives in your name..

Revitalizing the High School Planetarium
The foundation has set a goal to raise the necessary funds to repair or replace the planetarium in the Mount Carmel Area High School. The current system is currently not operating and board members would like to put the system back in use for both students and events open to the general public. We are currently exploring options as to what is the most economical way to bring the planetarium back to life. If you would like to donate to the cause or any other of our current initiatives, you can do so on our donate page. Please indicate for what project you would like your donation to be used.
Technology and Learning
Sarah Cooper, MCA LIVE Student Reporter, recently visited the Mount Carmel Area Elementary School to see how technology and learning go hand-in-hand. The Mount Carmel Area Education Foundation wants to add Chromebooks to the school’s technology inventory. See why in this video and help us reach our goal of 50 more chrome books this year. Summer Camp for MCA Students
A donation was made to the Mount Carmel Area Education Foundation by the Bucknell University Catholic Campus Ministry. The funds expanded available slots for MCA students attending the Mother Maria Kaupas Center Camp this summer. The Kaupas Center in cooperation with Bucknell University, Mt. Carmel Area School District, and the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit provides STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) learning activities for attending students. Working alongside Bucknell University students and staff gives campers a chance to share in an enhanced learning experience while benefiting the community through their work.
