Dear MCA Families and Community Members,

Thank you for welcoming me into your school as your new principal for the 2022-2023 year.  I am humbled and honored to be a part of the MCA learning community where students, teachers, and parents strive to build meaningful relationships that support academic and social-emotional growth.

This school year starts my 26th year in education.  During my tenure, I’ve had the privilege to work with students at all grade levels as well as in several different extracurricular programs.  You will see that I am passionate about student success in the classroom and in their additional school activities. I encourage all students to take pride and ownership in their education as MCA has a knowledgeable faculty that invest daily into student success.  I also encourage students to become involved in a club or organization within the school.  Our extracurricular activities build a community within our school and increase a student’s sense of belonging.

Students, as you attend MCA, value and cherish your time here because “Time Flies!”  Take advantage of all of your opportunities, build lifelong friendships and engage in your learning.  You have a wonderful team of teachers who are daily investing in you and inspiring you to succeed.  Remember to be the one!  Be the one who will encourage others. Be the one who asks for help when needed or offers help when others are in need.  Be the one who leads and makes good choices.

Faculty and Staff, thank you for your continued support of our students.  You are valued and your dedication is much appreciated.

Families and community members, I look forward to getting to know you better and becoming immersed within the Mount Carmel community.  As you see me at school activities, I would greatly appreciate meeting you.

Again, thank you for welcoming me into your school and community.  Please do not hesitate to contact me for assistance. Go Big Red!

                                                                                                                   With Regards,
                                                                                                                   Kimberly Schmeltz
